What inspired you to launch your own website?
After working in the entertainment and bar industry most of my life I felt there was a need for an expereinced person to help bar and business owners sell their businesses and for buyers of businesses to have a knowledgeable person to help them find the right business or bar for them.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
This website was initially launched 3 years ago and we are now working on promoting it on the Interent to generate more traffic and give the buyer more choice of sites to visit.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
It is the company name.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
Many people set themselves up as real estate and businesses sales companies with very little experience. I have the experience in the setting up and running of several businesses and know the area very well. My clients will testify to my extensive knowledge and how this has helped them to make a success of a new business or to sell their current one.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To continue to offer great bsuinesses for sale in Spain. Offering my clients comprehensive services to ensure the smooth selling and buying of businesses in Spain.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
The success of my business has compensated me for the investment in my website and other marketing strategies.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
If necessary I would expand my operations to cope with demand.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Due to my business experience and planning I have not had any major hurdles.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Most of my success has come from traditional advertising. I am now working hard to promote the site for search engines that I hope will drive more traffic to site and in turn create more business.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I realise now that you cannot just put a website out there and expect to get visitors, you must do much more internet promotion.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
The site has been up for around 3 years. I intend to continue with the business as long as it is profitable.
